Collaboration and communication through
Association Working Groups helps owners
maximize their brand investment

While the organization represents the diverse interests of nearly 4,500 owners and operators of more than 3,400 IHG® properties, the core mission of the IHG Owners Association is quite simple—maximize its members’ investments. In service of this goal, the Association has become a powerhouse. At 62 years old, it is the most established, successful, and unique brand owners’ association in the industry, developing the breadth and depth necessary to accomplish sweeping change and major goals.

On a more granular level, how has the Association been able to effectively advocate for such a diverse group—one that serves so many different interests across so many regions with widely differing ownership structures and brand?

The short answer: Working Groups. These Committees and Task Forces facilitate communication and action, negotiating with IHG corporate on behalf of the owner. Throughout the years, Working Groups have successfully helped owners grow their businesses, save money, operate more efficiently and stay ahead in an extraordinarily competitive industry.
